8 Miles of Classic Fly Water

At Tulchan, fishing is less of a pastime, and more of a passion. Both members and non-members have the opportunity to experience Tulchan’s classic fly water fishing, with four unique beats along eight miles of the River Spey to be enjoyed by amateurs and aficionados alike. Fishermen can also rest assured that on those rare occasions when the river isn’t accessible, fishing can still be enjoyed on the Estate’s Glenmore Trout Loch.

Accommodation for up to 12 guests is available in our holiday cottages and sister lodge – Knocktuclhan. After a peaceful, and hopefully fruitful morning’s fishing, lunch will be served to you and your guests in one of our comfortable riverside fishing huts – complete with a log stove for the winter months. When the day is done and the time comes to retire, the Tulchan Kitchen can also provide dinner, delivered directly to Knocktulchan or the holiday cottages.

A-Beat, is home to the magical King’s Hut and our longest serving ghillie, John Anderson.

B-Beat with its secluded hut has plenty of character and has been looked after by ghillie for over 13 years.

C Beat boasts a unique mix of high and low water pools as well as the historic Advie Bridge.

D Beat is perhaps the most secluded and fishes well at many different water heights.
